Recovery of Ethylene and LPG from Refinery off-Gases

Aromatics plants Linde Engineering can deliver aromatics production facilities and seamlessly integrate them into cracker facilities, increasing overall yield and cost effectiveness.

BTX refers to mixtures of benzene, toluene, and xylene, all of which are aromatic hydrocarbons. Benzene, toluene and xylenes (BTX) represent about 10 percent of the products formed in a naphtha cracker.

The key building block benzene is produced via extraction or the extractive distillation of pyrolysis gasoline from steam crackers. Several third-party processes are available for licensing.

We can deliver aromatics plants with or without the dealkylation of toluene and xylenes as part of a cracker project. Integrating an aromatics plant increases the output of valuable cracker products and improves overall economics.

An integrated dealkylation plant can be used to convert toluene and xylenes into benzene and yields a gaseous recycle stream that can be processed in a cracker’s separation train.
